This painting was inspired by a photo a friend of mine took in Nicaragua during a church mission. These tree girls were just passing by while we were taking pictures at an open door market place in Nandaime Granada, Nicaragua. The picture was taken on February 1998. When I saw this picture I said to my friend, "This is a painting, I got to make this into an oil painting." So, he gave me a copy of the photo.
